wow! this is so twisted..and so right! you did a such a great job with this..its not at all cheesy in the sense that its sideways, it looks like it just belongs this way! I really really enjoy this photo and want to thank you for sharing such a creative mind with us! I dont like to say this but I agree with what everyone has said...esp. about the 3 elements! I could stare at this for hours! I think I just might!! wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!! ~Tracey
Hot damn this is impressive. As others have already said, pure genius. I love all of the conflicting and converging lines. Considered BW'ing it and bumping up the contrasts? Its an awesome photo on it's own but I'd be tempted to have fun in photoshop buy sticking a guy standing on the "wall" or something.
I must first agree with acidicpyxie, up there, about the genius display of textures, furthermore, I see it as representing 3 basic elements (water, earth, air) in an abstract harmony. Your piece breathes Nature's trinity. I almost want to paint it.
Great perspective line my friend. And also, is something that is really great with you, it's the way to present your shots. The idea to 'reverse' a little bit this one, give it all its intensity. Great work.
This distorts all possible ways of seeing the beach, lines, symmetry - it's like a half inversion, and at first it seemed like it was a wall, a structure on either side divided by something of a different colour. I really, really like how you've tricked me into thinking that, and at the same time I can see the wall leading out to sea as a boardwalk or a promenade, and I'm left to wonder where all the people are.
oh jesse, there is inspiration here,
its sliding past me though
in all my inreceptive splendor
gluttonous glances try to take it all in
and still only see one point at a time.
i am hopeless
something of an ended roadway, where you fall lefternley and fly to the right
and the sun shines only from the starboard side, and however long you sail you'll never reach the horizon because you ride it.
it won't come together into words though
i rather like that it defies them
i'll be quiet now
jesus jesse. using the horizon to split the pier almost symmetrically......genius. I LOVE how the textures play in this. the rusted portion close to the chaotic rippling water, then on the right the clear sky and the clear concrete. the rotation is genius and the depth . one of your best pieces ever sweetheart.
